How to decorate your home this Christmas!

I think it is fair to say, I am now completely engulfed with the Christmas spirit.

I've been busy baking gingerbread, endlessly listening to Slade, and watching all the feel-good Christmas films.

During the first lockdown, small businesses were so supportive making us all feel joyful by their special touches and amazing customer service. That's exactly why I'll be supporting our local suppliers this Christmas!

If you are anything like me, you are already planning your Christmas decorations for your home, so today I thought I would share with you some of my favourites from Sussex based suppliers!

1. Welcome family and friends with a Christmas Wreath

Christmas Wreaths are the perfect way to bring joy and celebrate the Christmas season.

I absolutely love hanging a Christmas wreath on my front door because it always looks so pretty and makes me smile every time I get home on a cold winters day.

This exquisite Woodland Wreath was created by Sussex Florals, it is decorated with gorgeous red roses, pine cones, and fragrant spruce.

This beautiful luxury wreath is available to order from Sussex Florals, or if you would prefer to learn how to make your own wreath, they also run fantastic workshops via Zoom.

2. Create a cosy atmosphere with Luxury Candles

Candles are a lovely way to decorate your home this Christmas because they signify celebration. They instantly change the ambience of a room, the soft flickering candlelight creates a relaxing atmosphere and adds a sense of warmth.

The Little Candle Co create beautiful handmade candles in West Sussex.

James, founder of The Little Candle Co has created innovative scents which smell absolutely divine.

I absolutely love their seasonal range which includes Christmas Spice, Warm Gingerbread and Winter Fireside!

3. Decorate your home with Festive Ornaments

These beautiful Christmas ornaments are a perfect way to decorate your home.

You could put them on your windowsill, a shelf or beside your Christmas Tree and even add fairy lights so they glow in the evenings.

Love Unique Home sell the most gorgeous vintage, shabby chic, everyday homeware products which provide beautiful finishing touches to your home. Their products are also lovely presents and gifts and they pride themselves on providing exceptional customer service.

4. Amazing Christmas Tree Decorations

A lovely way to decorate your Christmas tree is to add personalised and thoughtful Christmas tree bauble decorations.

These lovely Christmas Tree decorations were created by Amyverse.

Each bauble is a one of a kind as Amy hand-paints her beautiful calligraphy onto each bauble.

The small wooden slices also make stunning luxury gift tags.

5. Create a Festive DIY Hot Chocolate Bar at Home

Hot Chocolate Bars are a fun way to celebrate the festive season this winter!

They are perfect for the little ones, and make the perfect addition to your Gingerbread House Making Party!

You can create an amazing Hot Chocolate Bar by simply having a few jars and a crate or wooden shelf.

The main things to include in your Hot Chocolate Bar include:

- Hot Chocolate Mix

- Marshmallows

- Whipped Cream

- Chocolate Chips

- Candy Canes

- Chocolate Sauce

- Rose Petal Cake Company Gingerbread Mug Friends

6. Hang a beautiful Robin Home Wall Print

Another fantastic way to decorate your home this Christmas would be to have beautiful Christmas related Wall Art and this Robin photograph definitely makes us feel joyful and ready for Christmas!

ajmphotos is based in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.

Andy, founder of ajmphotos, loves capturing photographs of robins, especially during the Winter months because their feathers are always so fluffy and they look even cuter which makes a perfect photo!
